I can't bring him back, but there is not a day or minute that I do not regret. Cristiaana

This I know in my heart was the turning point to disaster and the removal of our intimate understanding that no one on this Earth could know besides he and I.

Saint was a very kind hearted and sensitive dog that I come to know now suffered from fear aggression. I trusted in others. Trainers that insisted I dominate him.

My feeling powerless and giving my power over to others was part of this. My not trusting my gut was part of this. knew my dog, I had intuition about my dog.

I've suffered PTSD symptoms and such heartache from the loss of Saint. This I did learn though and it becomes so clear...my tendency toward drama and helplessness was part of what happened.

Hi Adam, It's been almost six months and to be completely honest I would never have done what I had knowing what my life would be like as it is now.

Hello Adam, My name is Michael Jackson and I like to call myself a dog trainer, I've been training for 5 years seriously, And I like the balanced method. My problem is I sometimes think I may be to eager to use negative reinforcement to get the result I want from some dogs, how can I be 100% sure, when I should and when I shouldn't use negative reinforcement

Tbh you'd be best posting this to the forum. I'm balanced but would say as I mostly do e collar recall and problem solving (heeling stick) that I'm pretty heavily leaning to negative reinforcement. Personally I don't think its a problem or that you have to be 50/50 or anything like that.

I look at it this way. I may train a dog with negative reinforcement but the result this creates (off lead in the park) is positively reinforcing to the dog (natural exercise and social interaction ect) so it balances lol.
